Ministry of Economic Affairs merges three agencies
Minister Maria van der Hoeven has announced that as of January 1st 2010, the EVD, the Dutch Patent Bureau and Senternovem will be merged into one Agency under the name ‘Agentschap NL’. Five divisions will address the different expertise fields: Energy & Climate, International, Innovation, Environment and the Patent Center. Full details in Dutch at:
Seminar on Developments around the Mekong River
On December 8th the Chamber of Commerce Rotterdam in co-operation with NCH will hold a seminar on the recent developments around the Greater Mekong Subregion. Indo-China represents an enormous potential with the Mekong River Delta as it’s logistic and commercial aorta. Vietnam, Laos, Cambodja and Thailand are economically tied together through this river. During the seminar all aspects related to this important economic development will be explained by Mrs Kho of the Asian Development Bank. Experience Workshop
On November 30th NTCC, Koninklijke Metaalunie, Delta Change Management and Rotterdam Business School host an Experience Workshop. Martin Loeve of Delta Management will demonstrate parts of the training for the Business Development manager/ Entrepeneur South-East Asia certificate. Dead Cat Bounce ?
The Netherlands all of a sudden seems to export more to China, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. When stocks drop rapidly and then suddenly rise again it is referred to as a ‘Dead Cat Bounce’. It seems that the rise in exports is only temporarily, in reaction to reduced stocks that need to be refilled. Thai ITM massage training in the Netherlands
Last month 40 students completed their Tok Sen massage training at Sabaaydi Center in Heeze. Trainers came from the ITM Massage School in Chiang Mai. In 2008 this private school was awarded the prize for the best training institute in Thailand.
